The 3500 14th Street NW Tenant Association at Hubbard Place, organized in 2007, works in partnership with Urban Village Community Center Association and Somerset Development Company to educate, train, and to empower the residents of Hubbard Place and its community.

3500 14th St N.W., Tenant Association collaborates with the resident services staff to improve the quality of life for residents, create a healthier and more sustainable community, empower residents, encourage successful tenancies, and create a platform of opportunity and stability in the community.

Urban Village Community Center Association (UVCA)

The Urban Village Community Center Association (UVCA), founded in 2003, is dedicated to educating, training, and empowering the low-income residents of Urban Village Apartments and the surrounding community through the provision of community activities and services, such as after school programs, computer instruction, adult literacy programs, and English as a Second Language.

This year, we have collaborated with City Blossoms and the Urban Village Community Center Association to build and develop a community garden.  City Blossoms works with our summer youth program and afterschool program to teach our young people about urban gardening and healthy eating.

Dance Institute of Washington (DIW)

The Dance Institute of Washington has collaborated with Hubbard Place to recruit young people for their community dance programs. DIW and Hubbard Place are also committed to further developing our collaboration to target older youth in areas of dance, fitness, self image, and nutrition.

Capital Area Food Bank

The Capital Area Food Bank supports our senior programs through monthly distributions of free food through their Brown Bag program for qualifying seniors.


DC Central Kitchen (DCCK)

Financial Literacy Foundation

The Financial Literacy Foundation provides a series of workshops that engage participants on issues of will be held weekly and will cover the following topics: goal setting/budgeting, banking, credit, IDAs, Stock Market Education.

Byte Back, Inc.

Byte Back is a nonprofit organization that provides computer literacy and employment readiness skills to under-served communities throughout Washington D.C. Byte Back provides onsite computer instruction twice a week for our residents. Classes include Basic Computer and a Microsoft Office track classes. 


Children's National Medical Center: The Teen Life Club Program

National Children's Medical Center is offering a 26 week program called Teen Life Club. The program works with youth ages 11-15 to develop empowerment and life skills through education about adolescent health issues, goal-setting, life skill development, and building money skills.

Urban Alliance
